Benefiting Kevin Perry who is battling brain cancer.

A letter from his family:

Kevin Perry has a wonderful family including his wife Ronna, 2 grown children Kevin Jr. and Hannah as well as many friends. As a longtime resident of St Lucie County, he is well known at Crossings Church in White City for his awesome and dedicated guitar playing as part of the praise and worship team.

His story of fighting Glioblastoma , a very aggressive form of stage 4 brain cancer,  begins with his initial diagnosis on Apr 4, 2017.  Neurosurgeons at the University of Miami hospital were able to remove 80%of the left temporal tumor ; the other tumor was left inoperable. Since then, Kevin has undergone 6 weeks of intense radiation and chemotherapy, 2 more types of chemotherapy as well as a daily regimen of 3 anti-seizure medications and steroids. He then participated in a 2 month trial drug at U of M.  The trial was discontinued on 9/19/18 as the MRI showed advancing inflammation and considerable tumor growth. Most recently, he was hospitalized for a week with pneumonia. Now that he has returned home it has been necessary for his wife, Ronna, to discontinue her position as a dental hygienist to stay home and care for her husband with assistance from their family and friends, along with a little in home healthcare. A possibility of future treatment remains unclear at this time. Kevin and his family are a part of the St Lucie County Glioblastoma Support Group as there are a high number of local cases for such a rare disease. Brian Mast and Erin Brockovich have begun working with them as they push forward for recognition and answers to this environmental problem and are looking forward to appropriate testing as soon as possible.

Through it all Kevin has shown great courage , strength and love for his wife Ronna , Kevin Jr and Hannah as well as his family and many friends . 

The entire Perry Family appreciates the love and support so many have shown over this very difficult year and a half .
